Introduction

“It was a great experience. If I were recommending Typid to another event organizer, I would tell them to try it and experience it for themselves.”

Hi, I'm Clifford Mandi, one of the organizers behind Aisen Fests. Festivals like ours bring a lot of energy—but behind the scenes, registration and check-in can quickly become stressful when everything is still manual.

Before Typid, we relied on Google Forms for registrations. That meant manually confirming every ticket purchase and manually verifying attendees when they arrived. It worked, but it took time, focus, and a lot of back-and-forth—especially when lines started forming at the entrance.

We decided to try Typid because we wanted easier ticketing and a smoother way to verify attendees. This is how it changed the way we ran Aisen Fests.

The Problem

1. Manual Ticket Confirmation Took Too Long

With Google Forms, every registration still needed a manual confirmation step before we could confidently count someone as a ticket holder. As more people signed up, that process became harder to keep up with—and easier to miss.

  • Each purchase required manual follow-up before it felt “confirmed”
  • It was difficult to stay organized as registrations increased
  • Our team spent more time confirming tickets than preparing the event itself

2. Check-in at the Venue Was Fully Manual

On event day, verifying attendees upon check-in was still a manual process. That slowed down entry, created bottlenecks, and made it harder to keep the experience smooth—especially during peak arrival times.

3. Hard to See Who Was Actually Inside the Venue

Beyond registration, we also needed a clearer picture of who had attended and who was currently present in the venue. With our old process, that kind of visibility was much harder to get in real time.

The Solution: Typid for Ticketing and Verification

1. Ticket Confirmation Became Much Easier

The feature that helped us the most was ticket confirmation paired with attendee verification. Instead of chasing every registration manually, Typid gave us a clearer flow from ticket purchase to confirmed entry.

What I liked most was ticket registration and attendee verification through QR ticket scanning. It replaced a lot of the manual work we were doing before.

2. QR Check-in Made Entry Faster

On event day, scanning QR tickets made check-in noticeably faster. Our team could verify attendees quickly instead of working through manual lists at the door.

For attendees, the experience was generally smooth—though I'll be honest: QR tickets were sometimes delayed in email, so there were moments when I had to resend tickets manually. Even with that, the scanning process itself was still a big improvement over our old setup.

3. Better Visibility Inside the Venue

One specific moment that stood out was how much easier it became to filter which attendees were present in the venue. That gave us better on-site control and made attendee management feel more organized during the event.

4. The Raffle Wheel Added Extra Excitement

Another highlight was the spin wheel for raffle draws. It wasn't just useful—it added excitement for attendees and made the event feel more interactive on the ground.

5. Setup Took Effort, But It Was Worth It

I'll be straightforward: setting up a new event in Typid was quite challenging at first. There's a learning curve when you're getting started.

Still, once things were in place, the benefits were clear—especially around ticketing, verification, and overall event organization.

Results

Typid helped Aisen Fests run with more structure and less manual work. For our team, the biggest wins were:

  • Faster registration process
  • Faster attendee check-in
  • Better attendee management
  • Reduced manual work
  • Easier ticketing
  • Better event organization overall

Instead of spending so much energy confirming tickets and verifying people by hand, we could focus more on delivering a better festival experience.

Final Thoughts from Clifford

Overall, it was a great experience. Typid made ticketing and attendee verification much more manageable for Aisen Fests, and I'd recommend other organizers to try it and experience it for themselves.

There are still things I think could be improved—like an easier user interface for setting up a new event, an option to include processing fees in ticket prices, and a “Scan to Register” QR code that directs people straight to ticket purchase. But even with those opportunities to grow, Typid already made a real difference for us.

If you're still managing registrations through forms and manual confirmation, I've been there. A smoother system is worth exploring.
